Nicola Conte

He is an Italian DJ,  producer, guitarist and bandleader who was a major figure in the acid jazz movement happening from the late 80s into the 21st century. Acid jazz is inspired by funk, hip-hop and electronic music. Nicola Conte's innovative approach to acid jazz mixes bossa nova with melodies reminiscent of 1960s Italian films, easy listening, Indian and Latin styles (Nicola Conte).  

The single "Bossa per due" gained international recognition as it was used for a prime-time commercial for Acura cars (Nicola Conte).
